Sibling Weekend

The Zirbel siblings and their spouses returned to Smith Lake once again this fall for a weekend of fishing, fun and relaxation! Also, while they were altogether they celebrated Bobby's 60th Birthday!

Ron's Cabin

The boys are back in town! It was 15 months ago that Flan, Kurt and Ron all took off for a fun filled fishing weekend to Ron's cabin. This is where dad's seizure took place and revealed to us all the long fight ahead. All that aside for the moment, they guys returned last weekend to "Finish what they started!" They even let me tag along to take some pictures and catch some fish! The pictures of "The Loon" are quite the story. We had a juvenile loon already in winter plumage follow us within a few feet of the boat for about 45 minutes. We could even see him dive and swimming under and alongside the boat. Then to top it all off he returned the following day to repeat his crazy behavior!

Family Vacation

Another wonderful week at the lake as a family! Of course could spending a week at the lake ever NOT be wonderful??!! This year was filled with "firsts!" The girls each caught their "first" fish! Renna went tubing for the "first" time! Not to be outdone, Ella went tubing for the "first" time! Ella slept a total of about 4 hours the "first" 24 hours we were there! This did not improve as the week progressed. And for the "first" time we took over 1,000 pictures to try and capture it all! Don't worry, for the "first" time, I didn't post all of them online. A very special Thank You to the family that lets us use their lake home to create all these special memories!

Entertainment Center

The latest home improvement project! Cabinets, moldings, inlays, countertop, drawer fronts and doors, dovetail drawer boxes. With a little help from a few good friends the whole thing came together in 16 days, start to finish! I have to admit, it turned out better than I hoped!

June, July & August

As the summer flew by and I got more and more behind in keeping up-to-date with posting the latest photos, it has become necessary to combine a few months of events into one block. June offered an opportunity to head to a local lake to enjoy a picnic and Renna and Bompa got to try their hand at fishing again. A nice rain gave opportunity to make sure Renna's new rain coat and umbrella really were waterproof. Some dear friends got married and let us celebrate with them. And Fran and Brenda took a long weekend to head back to South Dakota to visit friends and family!

Renna's 3rd Birthday!

It kind of freaks me out a little bit to think that we have been parents for three years now!! I will be the first to admit though that these have definitely been the best years of my life! We had quite the celebration this year. Renna's biggest news for her birthday is that she is going to be a big sister once again! Baby number 3 is on the way!

Pro Pictures

We finally took the girls in to have some professional pictures taken. They cooperated so well, and in turn provided us with some great shots! Take a look for yourself, we really like 'em! We even like the pictures, too!

Easter

This one is long overdue. I didn't even realize that I had pictures this old that still needed to get posted. Sorry about that. Well, don't wait any longer. Click the link and take a look before Easter is here again and I need to post those instead!

Story Book Land

A wonderful long weekend trip to South Dakota to visit family! A trip to Story Book Land was fun for the young and the old. It's been years since I have been there and a first for Maren and the kiddos! For some reason, the camera didn't come out to take many pictures of family. We'll try and do better about that next time!

May Part 2

Because sometimes more happens in a month than you can fit into one photo gallery!

May

Apparently Ella didn't have quite enough for breakfast that morning and Renna really wanted that cupcake. Happy Birthday Auntie Tay-t!

April

Would you believe me if I told you we had a picnic on the deck for Easter dinner this year!? That's what I thought, so we made sure to take some pictures to prove it. Oh yeah, Ella Loves Hats!

Maren's Phone Pictures

Enjoy these photos from the past year(ish) from Maren's phone. This has to be one of the funniest signs I have ever seen. I think it was in a local pizza place.

Justin's Phone - 2

Another round from Justin's phone. This preview pictures is of the CD that we sent to LA! That's right, Maren has her very own demo cd. It was a blast to put together and something that I will listen to for years to come. Don't forget to check out Maren's Music page to have a listen for yourself. Enjoy!

Justin's Phone - 1

What would we do without a camera on our cell phones? Think of the things we would miss. For example, Maren really felt as if she was one with nature while reading the current issue of American Hunter Magazine!

March

The snow has melted and the swings are back in action! This year they face a new thrill seeker - Ella! Hold on for a summer full of adventure because all she wants to do is climb higher than she is now!

February

There never seems to be a shortage of fun to be had. From playing dress up at Grandma's house, running around with Daddy's hat or matching outfits, the fun just never ends!

January

So really, how do you get a group of cousins to all look at a camera at the same time? I think about the only thing would be to have a new puppy under the camera! Well, either way they all look to be having a good time together.

Deer Hunting

Justin had a new opportunity present itself this year and it took a total of about .0000075 seconds to decide whether or not to go! I guess the fact that there is a scope full of deer in this picture tells you that the trip was a success!
